Carol McIntyre, author of Prayer Is

My book teaches children the fundamentals of prayer.
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Prayer Is?
Carol McIntyre: I was asked to do a presentation on prayer for an audience of over 100 children, ages 4-12. The children loved it !!! This was evident in their attentiveness, curious questions, responses and ability to share what they have learned with their peers. I was truly moved, and decided to document this presentation in the form of a book.
JP: What sets Prayer Is apart from other books in the same genre?
CM: My book is very simple in its presentation, practical and easy to apply. It can be read to a two-year old child, read by a four-year-old and discussed with teenagers. Adults may also use this as a guide to teach children about prayer.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to Prayer Is getting out to the public?
CM: The keys to my success are discipline, passion, focus and perseverance in my faith.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Prayer Is?
CM: My writing process involves identifying a problem, developing a concept and creating a solution. Â Writing this book took approximately 3months. However, working with an illustrator and the publisher lasted over 3 months.
JP: What’s next for Carol McIntyre?
CM: I am inspired to write other books that will foster and promote healthy self concept in children.
