Ive been in a similar situation at one point in my life...and not having the support of my family i basically fought tooth and nail on my own. I believe that each one of us are ultimately responsible for our own actions...but if we are victims of abuse of any capacity, we tend to blame our actions on our "abusers". What the abuse has done to me has made me stronger and more aware of those i allow into my life. So to make a long story short...abuse only happens IF you allow it to...PEACE I can sympathize with her.
