It’s complicated. I don’t take anything way from Mr. Goodman. Actually, I had a chance to skim through the book and was thoroughly impressed.

I’m from a school of thought that no one can tell our story better than us.

But like I said, I have the utmost respect for Mr. Goodman. I wish we could tell our story that well and get a major publishing out to consistently publish that instead of the sub-par efforts that will do unnamed…

Why do you wonder? The book was excellently written and was a teriffic read. The characters were vivid and expressions of people I’ve known. Just asking because the book is on my top 10 list of the best books I’ve ever read.

Good question, about who the main character is (black American) and his heritage is Jewish. However, we see different aspects of our lives and learn each other…we are to unite in the nations. I will have to read those books he suggested.
