Shortly after delivering her son, Sharre was told by doctor’s to make “arrangements” because he would be gone by that night. Situations in her life had always seemed to not work out the way she had planned. It seemed like true happiness was an unattainable goal.

No matter what the doctors said, no matter what family and friends said, she was determined to see the will of God manifested in her life! Join her as she goes on a journey of faith to believe what God promised and be able to say WITHOUT A DOUBT… “It Is Well!”

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write It Is Well!?

Y. Sharre DaCosta: God told me to write It Is Well! the day my son’s healing was made manifest.

JP: What sets It Is Well! apart from other books in the same genre?

YSD: The main thing that sets It Is Well! apart is it’s our family’s story. It’s a non-fiction account of hope, tenacious faith, healing and God’s miracle-working power.

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to “It Is Well!” getting out to the public?

YSD: I went to an author seminar, “Becoming An Amazon Bestselling Author” by Melanie Bonita, that showed me a lot of key tips to advertising and marketing your book. Since then, I’ve read a lot of articles and websites regarding getting publicity and press for your work. I use the internet to do a lot of marketing, and then of course word-of-mouth from people who know me and our story.

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish “It Is Well!”?

YSD: When God told me to write It Is Well! in 2005, I started immediately. I wrote the subtitle, table of contents and the first chapter. I then wrote chapters 2 to 6 very quickly. Then I slowed down and life got in the way.

The book was very emotional for me to edit it, so I stopped for periods to allow myself to get it together. (Smile) For the past couple of years, God has really been dealing with me to finish it. By then, I had started school and started my own company. I kept working on it, bit-by-bit.

But late last year, I committed to finishing it. I went to a Vision Board Event by Melanie Bonita. That gave me the inspiration to press on and keep pressing until it was done! Within 2 weeks, I had written the remaining 8 chapters and finished it. During that process, God revealed to me that It Is Well! would be the first book in the Recover All Series. From start to finish, it was about 7 years.

JP: What’s next for Y. Sharre DaCosta?

YSD: Next? I plan to start working on my next project, which is the second book in the Recover All Series. This second book is about my faith walk and process of how God healed my marriage after we had been divorced for 4 years.
