(Amani Publishing, LLC)
This is an easy to follow (ten-step) guide that will lead you from the first page of a draft to the last page of a published manuscript. In addition, you will learn successful marketing strategies for increasing book sales. If writing is truly your calling, don’t wait any longer to answer.
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write A Writer’s Guide to Publishing & Marketing?
Barbara Joe Williams: After years of publishing myself, publishing aspiring authors, and teaching writing/publishing workshops, I decided to write what I knew about the publishing process in an easy to understand guidebook.
JP: What sets A Writer’s Guide to Publishing & Marketing apart from other books in the same genre?
BJW: My publishing guide is different because it breaks down the process into three basic categories: writing, publishing, and marketing. For example, it covers the ABCs of writing, the traditional and nontraditional publishing processes, and many “low-cost or no-cost” marketing techniques..
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to A Writer’s Guide to Publishing & Marketing getting out to the public?
BJW: As an author, publisher, and motivational speaker, I was able to get my book out to the public using a variety of promotional strategies including: word of mouth, literary conferences, writing workshops, book festivals, and mainly local media.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish A Writer’s Guide to Publishing & Marketing?
BJW: As an author, I usually write at night when it’s quiet around my house. Although I’m a full-time writer and publisher, I normally conduct business during the day and focus on writing later in the evening. It only took me about a month to actually write this book from start to finish because I’d already completed all the necessary research from years of publishing.
JP: What’s next for Barbara Joe Williams?
BJW: I have a page turning novel coming out in February titled, A Man of My Own, which I’m working hard to promote. It’s a story about a woman addicted to dating married men until her latest lover’s wife decides to teach her a valuable lesson: Leave married men alone and find a man of your own.
I will also continue publishing other aspiring authors as well as managing the Tallahassee Authors Network.
I would like to thank you for helping promote myself and other published authors. We live for opportunities like this and sincerely appreciate them when they come along. Please keep reading and supporting us.
