(Pure Victory Entertainment, LLC)
Losing it, chasing it, not knowing when you have it and wondering if you’ll ever get it. Simone, Colette, Tracey and Mya turn to a sassy but anointed church mother to help them discover the power of prayer and how prayer can change the mess their lives have become. Little do they know the power of prayer will also change them.
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write The Love of You?
Catherine N. Crumber: I was working in a medical office as a medical transcriber. One morning, I walked through the lobby on my way to my office. I heard in my spirit that I would write a book titled The Love of You. I laughed and kept going. Seven years later, I wrote the book. The first five chapters were written during one of my mission trips to Kenya.
JP: What sets The Love of You apart from other books in the same genre?
CNC: My goal was to write a book for women. However, I find 50% of my fan base are males. It was also suggested that I write romance fiction novels for men.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to The Love of You getting out to the public?
CNC: Determination. I was offered a contract with a few national publishing houses. Nevertheless, I decided to publish my books independently. It hasn’t been easy, but it is worth it!
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish The Love of You, A Novel (ebook)?
CNC: I usually write in the quiet of the night between 1am and 4am. I keep a recorder with me to capture my thoughts during the day.
JP: What’s next for Catherine N. Crumber?
CNC: I will be releasing two books in 2012. The first is a children’s book that tells a true story about my childhood. Currently, I looking for a Christian Children’s illustrator to bring it life. The second book is of course Christian Romance. I am also preparing to shoot a movie based on The Love of You with some very talented people. I am so excited!
