Dee Licious, author of Inked Heat Book 1 – Derek & Maks

What happens when your single, forty-something mom brings home her new boy toy, and it’s the hot stud that gave you your first tattoo; the one you’ve been fantasizing about for the last few weeks since turning 18?
Will Bianca finally have sex with a real man and not some clumsy high school boy? What will she do when presented with not one, but two, hot muscular men who co-own the tattoo parlor?
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write “Inked Heat Book 1 – Derek & Maks”?
Dee Licious: I have always aspired to be a writer. I adore men with tattoos as well as hot menage scenes. I was inspired to combine the two into this hot steamy short story, “Inked Heat: Derek & Maks”.
JP: What sets “Inked Heat Book 1 – Derek & Maks” apart from other books in the same genre?
DL: I believe that my descriptive language when describing the tattoos on both men is part of what sets me apart. I take pride in the fact that readers have no problem picturing what I’m describing thus allowing them to immerse themselves in “Inked Heat: Derek & Maks”.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to “Inked Heat Book 1 – Derek & Maks” getting out to the public?
DL: Perseverance and never once giving up on my dream of becoming a writer. It took many years, but “Inked Heat: Derek & Maks” is finally here.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish “Inked Heat Book 1 – Derek & Maks”?
DL: First, I write a brief outline of my idea which includes the characters’ name and description. Second, I search the internet for pictures of models that epitomize my characters. Once found, I print the picture and hang it above my desk for constant inspiration. Lastly, I begin writing.
“Inked Heat: Derek & Maks” took me about three months to complete.
JP: What’s next for Dee Licious?
DL: I have a short story about shifters under my other pseudonym Harper Jewel almost completed, and I already have my next book in the Inked Heat Series in outline form.
