Join Debbie and I for the love of a lifetime. From the halls of high school to the joys of her accepting my class ring. Journey further through a terrible break-up and the chance encounters in college, where the wounds from the past still haven’t healed.

And finally, after thirty years, a reunification causes the most intense love affair I could have ever imagined and taught me the lessons in life, I had all but forgotten.

In the end, is “true love” worth a second chance even if it means a tragic end? The answer is an emphatic YES!

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Love’s True Second Chance?

Jeff Dawson: The inspiration came from her daughters. Debbie never talked about her times in high school. Her girls thought it would be a nice memorial. Plus, they might learn some things she never told them.

JP: What sets Love’s True Second Chance apart from other books in the same genre?

JD: How many books about true love have been written by a man? That is what separates it from the pack. Most of the stories we read are from women. It’s time for males to tell the other side of the story.

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to Love’s True Second Chance getting out to the public?

JD: Well, we are still traveling the path to success. All I can say is keep talking about it to any and everyone you come across and politely ask for reviews.

I’m always looking for book signing and carry around flyers for the book.

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Love’s True Second Chance?

JLD: Currently, I don’t really have a process. It really depends on the book and if inspiration is striking on a particular day.

JP: What’s next for Jeff Dawson?

JD: I have a few other works in the pipeline: a book on poetry, a story about my best friend who died in 2001, a scifi thriller to be released in December and a sequel to the vampire work “Occupation”.

I’ve also been contacted about helping a person write a memoir for her brother. That should be exciting.

The only thing I would add for aspiring writers is to never give up. Keep plugging away. Sooner or later your work will get the recognition you deserve.
