Lonnie Spry, author of Speak Now or…Hold Your Piece

After being unemployed for two years, Elbee Nessprin is finally starting to rebound and live the good life. He has a job with a six figure income, a beautiful fiancee and is the proud owner of a newly renovated apartment building. Everything is great until he has to deal with the consequences of a past night of bliss which will threaten his trip down the aisle.
Angel Terry is the envy of all of her girlfriends. She has purchased her first home, has a fulfilling career and a loving boyfriend who adores her. It’s after, he proposes to her. Angel realizes that unless she confronts her past, there is no way she can have a future.
Being incarcerated was Rocky Barnes’ biggest concern. That is until he receives a certified copy of the paperwork granting his wife an uncontested divorce. How can this be when they had vowed to be together til death? As he prepares for an early release, he is determined that if he can’t have her, no one will.
Living life is hard enough without secrets. Or is it? That remains to be seen as each person decides whether to Speak Now or…Hold Your Piece.
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the idea and inspiration to write Speak Now or….Hold Your Piece?
Lonnie Spry: The title came to me one day, and the concept of the story just followed.
Joey Pinkney: What sets Speak Now or….Hold Your Piece apart from other novels in its genre?
LS: Although it is fiction, I try to touch on everyday issues that most people have been through. Also, I try write from a man’s perspective, which means that the brothers in my books aren’t always dogs or wannabe playas.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that lead to Speak Now or….Hold Your Piece getting out to the public?
LS: The key to my success is first and foremost God’s favor. Secondly, you will never catch me without a book on me.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take for you to start and finish Speak Now or….Hold Your Piece?
LS: My process is to either come up with a title or a idea and go from there. It took me eighteen months to write this book because I was planning my wedding.
JP: What’s next for Lonnie Spry?
LS: The sky’s the limit. Whichever way that God leads me.

Just reading the interview and the contents of the book has me wanting to buy it does not read like a everyday book it reads more like a mystery as to what all characters plan on doing and I can not wait to purchase it…..
