Rosalyn F. Campbell, author of Too Many Men

The book is about how woman let too many men in their lives. A lot of women don’t realize they have been emotionally abused therefore they take all that baggage from one relationship to the next. They wonder why it’s not working. It also tells women that they will never have the relationship they want if they don’t love God first, then themselves. It’s about one womans journey through difficult relationships, friendships and events that I feel a lot of woman can relate too.
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Too Many Men?
Rosalyn F. Campbell: I experienced a lot of hurt and pain from my past relationships and couldn’t understand why. When talking to my girlfriends and other women, I realized that they were going through the same things as I was.
I sat down and thought about what we were doing wrong to cause so many failed relationships. I realized that a lot of us have been verbally and emotionally abused and didn’t realize it or didn’t think that it would affect us in any way if we had just left the relationship.
Subconsciously, we take all that hurt to our next relationship and act out without even knowing it. That causes low self-esteem, feeling unworthy, thinking were not attractive enough and the list goes on. I wanted women to focus on building themselves up and loving themselves and most importantly loving God before they try to love someone else.
JP: What sets Too Many Men apart from other books in the same genre?
RFC: Most of my book are real life events that I’m sure most women can relate to. The characters in my book are real and I know that everybody can relate to at least one of them. Its uplifting and motivating, and it will give women something to think about. It speaks about being celibate and waiting on the Lord, to guide you and find you a life long partner.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to Too Many Men getting out to the public?
RFC: Speaking to women who are going through or went through the same or similar obstacles I have. Also, speaking to men about passing this information to the women in their lives.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Too Many Men?
RFC: My writing process is quite simple, once I get a thought or an idea, I run with and I don’t stop until its finished. It took me approximately 2 months to write the book.
JP: What’s next for Rosalyn F. Campbell?
RFC: Right now, I’m in the process of promoting the book. Looking to set up book signings and hopefully speaking engagements to young women. People who read my book are looking for part 2, and I will be working on that soon.
