5 Minutes, 5 Questions With…
Sarah Baethge, author of The Speed of Darkness
(self via Smashwords)
The book is about a friendly werewolf who saves a man under attack, and so unintentionally brings himself to the attention of those that want to capture supernatural creatures for scientific experimentation.
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write The Speed of Darkness?
Sarah Baethge: Boredom while healing after a car wreck.
JP: What sets The Speed of Darkness apart from other books in the same genre?
SEB: I’m not sure there are many books that have werewolves used as lab test rats.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to The Speed of Darkness getting out to the public?
SEB: I just wrote it for fun. If the public enjoys it, I would love for its existence to be talked about so more people will learn about it.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish The Speed of Darkness?
SEB: I would make myself write after lunch every day until supper, except on weekends. The writing took maybe 2 -3 months, but getting the nerve to publish it took 2-3 years.
JP: What’s next for Sarah Baethge?
SEB: Probably some less earth-bound Science Fiction.
