Here is two books in one. The first book, Edible Men, tells of a man who has gifts most bachelors envy, while finding his only happiness when with just one woman. Sex, violence, philosophy, and shock.
The second work is called A Dimension for Every Number. This book tells the story of a man who has every reason to give up, but overcomes death and the bad hand that was dealt to him. Excerpts are available.
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Edible Men and A Dimension for Every Number?
Johnnie Reason: My inspiration to write comes from my higher power. It is through this channel that I am directed to express these energies on paper.
JP: What sets Edible Men and A Dimension for Every Number apart from other books in the same genre?
JR: While giving all credit for the books creation to the Creator, the notable standout of this book from other books is that every event mentioned is based on true events that the author lived through at various points in his life. This created a series of events no other has in the exact same sequence of venues.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to Edible Men and A Dimension for Every Number getting out to the public?
JR: The keys to the book reaching the public is from prayer, patience and persistence. Once blessed, the success is promised.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Edible Men and A Dimension for Every Number?
JR: I actually have different approaches to writing books. One approach relies on my own experiences and my ability to creatively tell the story.
Another approach is to compile notes from research, categorizing and organizing the notes into chapters. A third method that I use is to create characters, titles, and chapters that tell an ongoing story, then fill in the chapters with text.
JP: What’s next for Johnnie Reason?
JR: I have written twelve books on a variety of subjects. I have seven more books on brain that I need to get on paper or on disc.
I also founded a company that looks to provide a service to the community. This company will develop talents in fields such as music, books, art, clothing and film, as well as teaching skills that enable them to market their products online and offline as well.
I am currently seeking space to set up a “music city social activity center”, which could serve as a model nationwide.
