The book is about a builder by the name of Edward who lives in West Yorkshire, Medieval England. For a long time, he has had a strong sixth sense to visit Scotland. He eventually leaves on his horse and cart and arrives in Edinburgh where he sets up a building business.

He is hired by Queen Anne of Scotland to carry out building work at the palace, however, he does not realise that he is in great danger. The Queen is suffering from a multi-personality disorder. Her moods change back and forth from being compassionate and caring to being very sadistic.

Edward finds himself restrained in a dungeon pillory where he is subject to the sadistic taunts of the Queen. He is devastated to find out that he has a date with the guillotine.

The Twisted Queen Anne takes the reader through peaks and valleys of romance, lust and deprivation towards and a thrilling climax.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write The Twisted Queen Anne?

Edwina James: I believe that we are all evolving at a spiritual level. For the last thirty years I have been involved with meditation techniques that lead a person toward enlightenment. I have worked with the chakras of the subtle system for a long period and decided that I wanted to share my experiences in the form of “Edward” who finds that the “road towards enlightenment” can be a hard road to travel.

JP: What sets The Twisted Queen Anne apart from other books in the same genre?

ED: My book covers more than one genre. Besides being an historical-fiction novel, it also covers in my opinion of how multi-personalities are manifested and explains how a soul evolves from one incarnation to the next. Consequently, I believe that the thing that sets my book apart is that it covers a diversity of subjects.

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to The Twisted Queen Anne getting out to the public?

ED: I believe that the keys to my success will be through word-of-mouth when people understand the deeper reasons for living this life.

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish The Twisted Queen Anne?

ED: The book took about two years to write which I wrote on and off when I had the time. However, I suppose it could have been written in three months at a continuous basis.

I believe my writing process is a process that just flows rather than having to think too much about the plot.

JP: What’s next for Edwina James?

ED: I believe I will write a sequel to the story of this book.

    1. That is a great question. Judging by his answers, he is very knowledgeable on his views of life and the afterlife. I wonder how much research he as done also. It would seem that it would take a lot to cover that type of subject matter.

  1. The answer to the above question is that at the age of thirty five, I started having “out of body” experiences and realised that I could survive without my body which I saw layiing on the bed. I then knew that my body was really only a coat which would be burned when it was worn out. I have extensive experience working with certain meditation tecniques and the chakras of the subtle system. I am now sixty five. When a person passes from one incarnation to the next, the traits and manerisms of the previous incarnation are also passed on. Edwina James. (This is my pen name)
