In a world gone terribly wrong, where the monsters of our deepest nightmares have come alive, one girl is on a journey to find Sanctuary in America. These are the N Days. Welcome to the story of Samantha Worthington Day. On the run from a demon horde that tore through the dreamscape and destroyed everything she ever loved. She is looking for Sanctuary in America, a place of safety and hope where humanity can start rebuilding their shattered world. Follow her journey across the United States with real GPS coordinates and experience the locations with her. She has a long way to go, and her amazing destiny is yet to be revealed.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write The N Days: Book 1?

John Murray McKay: From the TV show Once Upon a Time. I saw a specific scene that stuck with me. I played around with the idea, and before I knew it, I had my first book and series in hand.

JP: What sets The N Days apart from other books in the same genre?

JMM: The willingness to do things differently from other books. A different type of hero. The usage of real locations and the unique feature of coordinates in the book so you can follow along on Google Maps. No emotionally over supportive vampires in sight.

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that lead to The N Days getting out to the public?

JMM: Hard work, stubbornness not to give up and a publisher that believed in me and my vision for the book.

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish The N Days?

JMM: I really don’t have a process. I work randomly and specialize in chaos theory. I write when the inspiration hits me and it takes me about 6 months per book, depending on my work constraints and demands.

JP: What’s next for John Murray McKay?

JMM: Swinging for the fences even more on the next one. Going historical fiction with the story of the only known female assassin for the New York Mafia. It will not be for the faint of heart because I am not holding back on this one.
