Alicia McGhee, aka PreCise, recently invited me to BlogTalkRadio’s AM to PM Show to talk about my short story “Like Father, Like Son” which is featured in The Soul of a Man Anthology.
(Alicia McGhee has been featured in the JoeyPinkney.com’s “5 Minutes, 5 Questions With…” author interview series for Wet Dreams.)
During the show, I talk about:
- the making of that story, the toils of being a “step” parent
- my upcoming book in the works
- recent book reviews
- the “5 Minutes, 5 Questions With…” author interview series
- my future in the literary industry
- my feelings on the recent earthquake in Haiti
My segment starts around the 19 minutes mark and runs for about 30 minutes. Check it out and let me know what you think.

It’s so wonderful to finally put a voice with a face. Honestly, I truly see why you are a great reviewer. Very articulated, passionate and humble are the some of the ingredients a person needs and Joey….you have them all.
It was a pleasure listening to your interview. Can’t wait for your book to come out!!
Best of luck!!
Wow! Thank you, Madison.
I didn’t think anyone would comment on this blog post. Especially not this fast.
Thank you for the kind words. I was a little nervous at first. Then it all just started flowing out.
I haven’t heard me talk in a while. I was listening to the interview while I was putting this post together. I was laughing at the fact that my country dialect has me saying “arthur” instead of “author”. It sounds like “author” in my head when I say it. Oh well… Speech therapy, here I come.
Wow, all this music before you come on. Some people would leave after the first song, but I am an avid fan of Joey Pinkney and stayed on for you. These were good old school songs too.
Hey,
You are not alone. There are some words in my head I know how to pronounce but for some reason lately I cannot say, “mirror” which is the title of one of my upcoming books with GSH Publishing.
I agree: intellectual–that best suits you. Great interview. I knew you would do well.
We appreciate you, Joey for all you do! I do my best to keep you in the loop and I have to keep up with you too!
Dream Yours,
Adrienna!
