The streets of Washington, D.C., are at their most violent in years. From 5th and Rittenhouse to M.L.K. Avenue, roll with Mann, his little brother Lando, and their crew of uptown soldiers as they take no prisoners in the Fast Lane.

As the drug epidemic rages out of control in the Nation’s Capital, Mann, a young, handsome hustler, makes his mark in the D.C. streets with nothing but money on his mind. In a game with no rules, anybody can get it and no one is off-limits when it comes to stacking paper.

To rise to the top, Mann must play his cards right and surround himself with those loyal to him. However, who can be trusted when everybody is trying to get paid by any means? Sex, money, drugs, murder, and mayhem … The drama never ends in the Fast Lane.

My book is a book of poems that tell my story as well as the general story of growing up in an oppressive environment. I would describe it as Angoric Expressionism through poetry.

If you don’t know what Angoric Expressionism is, it is an Art form that is created through pain. This style was developed by the Modern Black Painter Reginald Rogers. The book is really about hood- and self-liberaton.

Toni and Jada have been friends since high school. They dated best friends David and Benjamin and the foursome even decided to attend the same college together.

A tragic event in the final semester of senior year starts the web of lies and deceit that will follow them into their adult lives. The story begins seven years after graduation from college. The secrets and lies from their past start to unravel when an old friend returns from a seven-year hiatus. Where has he been? Does he hold the key to unlock the secrets and lies from their past?
