Sky Might Fall is about a seventeen-year-old teenager named Sky who is fighting to survive in the streets after her mom kicks her out the house. She has the help of her best friend Jerome and numerous of other people. She must try to survive with her three-year-old sister tagging along with her and trying to cope with insecurities, molestation, and her drug-addicted parents.

Sky takes you through some diary entries and confessions while making ultimate decisions all by herself. She tries her hardest not to become a victim to the streets or like her mother and father and become this diamond-in-the-rough to keep her head above water to try to survive with the situations that occurs in her life, while her molestation, drug-addictive parents and insecurities, continue to haunt her on this journey. She might fall….

My book is a book of poems that tell my story as well as the general story of growing up in an oppressive environment. I would describe it as Angoric Expressionism through poetry.

If you don’t know what Angoric Expressionism is, it is an Art form that is created through pain. This style was developed by the Modern Black Painter Reginald Rogers. The book is really about hood- and self-liberaton.
