A Mother’s Love vs. A Daughter’s Revenge.

Charlene Shaw has gone through hell. She was raped and left for dead, yet she continued on her quest for fame. She’s a beautiful, desired actress who has found her Mr. Wright.

According to the magazine headlines, her life is perfect. There’s just one thing her heart cries for…her daughter, Raven. This might be her hardest challenge yet: building the mother-daughter bond she’s prayed so hard for.

Raven Shaw has been abandoned by love. Her mom preferred Hollywood and her childhood best-friend, now ex-lover, disappeared when she became pregnant. Now, she’s adjusted to a “new” kind of love…motherhood. She’s determined that her daughter will have everything she didn’t.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write “Miss Scandalous: Shaw Family Saga Book 2″?

Nicole Dunlap: “Miss Scandalous” is the second part of the dysfunctional lives of Raven and Charlene Shaw. I was initially inspired to write about Raven because I have counseled a lot of children and teens who’ve been abandoned by their parents. “There is a Miracle in 21: God Completes” is designed to encourage, inspire and motivate others by sharing my struggles. It’s a book of HOPE! Simply stated, “It is my therapy with God”.

Whether I’m sharing feelings of inadequacy, confessing faults, or sharing words of encouragement, I do it to glorify God. I know that if God is glorified, He will ensure the book reaches those who need its message.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write “There Is A Miracle in 21: God Completes”?

Lorieen D. Henry: My inspiration came from my desire to change/improve. I didn’t want to continue the cycle of madness. I was spiraling because I was discontent after leaving a successful military career. I knew it was time to leave, but I wasn’t content with the changes that God had allowed. Tee and Michael Stokes have realized that life for them will never be normal. If she’s alive, will she kill again? If she’s dead, who is impersonating her and why? Whichever the case, they must put an end to the harassment once and for all before she puts an end to them.

Their friends have their own drama……

Tiffany has traded in her tight clothes and stilettos for big hats and conservative dresses as she tries to prove to one of Memphis’ most promising young pastors that she is worthy of a man in the pulpit. Can she control her feelings for Michael, or will temptation ruin her chances for love and her friendship with Tee? Lenice has entered the world of online dating. Her keystrokes can’t mask the pain of a failed relationship, but they could lead her into the life of an elderly millionaire. Lenora’s weight loss has changed her body and her attitude for the better, but her husband’s job at the Kitty Kat Club may be too much for even the new and improved Lenora to handle.

Join Tee, Michael, and their hilarious friends as they discover that the key to surviving this journey called life is to hold on tight to the hands of the ones you love while you pray for faith to see you through. “Forever and a Day” will keep you loving, laughing, and on the edge of your seat!

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write “Forever and a Day”?

Jae Henderson: My inspiration was from the two previous books, “Someday” and “Someday, Too”. I had to finish this trilogy or my readers would be very upset, LOL. I knew I couldn’t leave them hanging for too long. Continue reading 5 Minutes, 5 Questions With… Jae Henderson, author of Forever and a Day
