Do You Wanna Be Made Whole? is a story about a pastor and three men. The pastor, James Maxwell, has dedicated his life and ministry to empowering men to live successful lives.

When three of Pastor Maxwell’s spiritual sons go through crises, Pastor Maxwell is there to lead them to spiritual wholeness.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the idea and inspiration to write Do You Want to be Made Whole?

Bernard Boulton: I wanted to write about friendships among men. I had an idea of three men who were friends from childhood moving into together, each man dealing with a serious problem.

JP: What sets Do You Want to be Made Whole? apart from other Christian fiction novels?

BB: What sets my book apart is the story itself. The characters are unique. It’s a book about men, something that I’ve not seen a lot of in the Christian fiction genre.

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that lead to Do You Want to be Made Whole? getting out to the public?

BB: The keys to my success have been determination. Once I got into the writing of this stroy, I was bound to finish. Another key is focus. I kept my eye on the prize which was a published work. A third key was team. I brought on a team a group of talented editors who taught me and challenged me in the art.

The most important key was destiny. I believe that one of my purposes in this world is to finish what God has given me to do. That includes writing stories that will ENCOURAGE, EMPOWER AND ENTERTAIN.

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take for you to start and finish Do You Want to be Made Whole?

BB: I’m not sure what to call my writing process. I write in the mornings, and I write until I’m finish for the day. It took me five years to write and complete this book. I’m sure that’s too long.

I first started writing in longhand. That took me a year. I then started transcribing my written words on a computer which was another year. The editorial process was two years. Once that was completed, I had a novel ready for publication.

JP: What’s next for Bernard Boulton?

BB: I’ve written a nonfiction inspirational work on the favor of God. I hope to release that one this year. I will write the sequel to Do You Wanna Be Made Whole.
