New Edition’s Bobby Brown was born Robert Barisford Brown on born February 5, 1969. This R&B singer/songwriter/rapper/dancer began his solo career in 1987 and had a string of Top 10 Billboard hits after success in pop group New Edition. He was also a pioneer of the New Jack Swing movement and is the ex-husband of pop singer Whitney Houston.
