I was honored to be a co-host for the Gumbo For The Soul Radio show to commemorate the release of Gumbo For The Soul’s fourth title Men of Honor. I have a contribution in this book. I wrote an essay entitled “Robert Pinkney: My Grandfather, My Sage”.
It was such an honor and a blessing to be a part of this book and also to be asked to co-host the show. I can’t begin to describe the shock of being asked to come aboard something like this.
On 10-20-10, I had the absolute honor of being on the Michigan Literary Network Show. It was a double treat because I really look up to the show’s founder Sylvia Hubbard, plus you have to be doing something major to be on that show and not be from Michigan.
During the show, I talked about my humble beginnings, what keeps me going and the importance of book reviews. You can listen to the podcast below. I hope you enjoy it.
On this show, a couple of my Soul Brothers and I take the Toyi Ward’s TOYi-TALK show on BlogTalkRadio.com.
We cover diverse subjects such as our upbringing, our experience in the literature world and more about our contribution to The Soul Of A Man: A Triumph of My Soul Anthology. (I talk about my short story “Like Father, Like Son” around the 18 minute mark in the show.)
Listen to the show, leave a comment and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear from you.
Make sure you read the excerpt “Like Father, Like Son” on http://joeyisinit.com and make sure you purchase an autographed copy of The Soul Of A Man, not now but RIGHT NOW!
