Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Swipe?
Kayenne: The idea for Swipe came to me after reading some of the crazy news stories on the internet.
JP: What sets Swipe apart from other books in the same genre?
K: Each story I write has its own unique twist.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that lead to Swipe getting out to the public?
K: I write a lot, I’m persistent and I plan. If you want a career as a writer, you have to develop tough skin and have a business plan.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Swipe?
K: Once the idea for a book comes to me, I think about my characters and visualize the ending for the story. Every scene I write leads to the ending. The first draft of Swipe took a total of 30 days to write.
JP: What’s next for Kayenne?
K: I am currently brainstorming a new book series. I will also be working on another full length novel in 2015.
