5 Minutes, 5 Questions With…
Angel, author of Loving Rainy Days
(Createspace)
Loving Rainy Days tells the story of a woman’s fight for love and passion while the horrendous memories of her past constantly keeps returning to haunt her. It takes its readers on a kaleidoscope of emotions and admiration with an endless journey for fulfillment.
Loving Rainy Days lead’s Miki Tase on a chase that will leave his heart racing and his body craving for more. Demure, yet demanding when it’s necessary, she will explore romance with a man who can be trusted to love her regardless of her mental scars hidden beneath her power suits.
There’s no denying the passion that erupts between the two, but can Miki persuade Rainy to drop her guard long enough to convince her to trust in their love or will the pain from her past cloud their fragile future causing her to give up on him, and herself?
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Loving Rainy Days?
Angel: I was largely inspired after reading other authors work and always thinking that I would have ended their story another way, or I would have added this to make it more exciting.
I want you to understand that I wasn’t being critical. Instead, I was being motivated to put my own ideas into writing.
JP: What sets Loving Rainy Days apart from other books in the same genre?
AB: When I read a book, I always pay close attention to details. I have found myself on may occasion reading a paragraph twice just to see how close it can come to making me truly feel and believe what I am reading.
That’s what I believe I have captured in Loving Rainy Days: the act of making you feel a part of what you’re reading by creating attention-grabbing details.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to Loving Rainy Days getting out to the public?
AB: Determination. I was hitting major road blocks with publishing companies, yet I was determined to see my work in print. That’s when I turned to self-publishing.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Loving Rainy Days?
AB: I have to write when I’m in a certain mood or when I’m alone with music playing low in the background. I have a tendency to have ideas cross my mind at times when I’m busy doing other things, but I quickly grab a sheet of paper and jot down my thoughts.
I write at the computer or while lying in bed with a pencil because it’s easy to erase things or add a new idea. I wrote Loving Rainy Days in about six months.
JP: What’s next for Angel?
AB: A lot of people are asking me if I’m going to write a novel based on a few of the characters from Loving Rainy Days, and the answer is yes. However, before I venture down that road, I’m planning on releasing three more books that are really going to shake things up.
The first is titled J’Son: The Guardian. The second is titled Secret Keeper, and the third is titled Child Support: My Daughter’s Invisible Father. Keep an eye out for them. It’s about to get wild!

I absorb the words of authors like a sponge, your answers really have inspired me 2 dig my heals in & write more detail. Currently, I’m writing my 1st book, a narrative nonfiction. I have the story outlined, chapter by chapter, a few chapters are complete or near completion. You have given me some insight on how to fill in the blanks better. Thanks so much Angel & much continued succes in your writing!!
