A traveler enters the Broken Keg Tavern with a story of strange disappearances. He claims that some of the villagers have just vanished. When he and some of his friends went to see what was happening, what they discovered was horrendous!

The traveler delivers the details to Eldridge Kragen, who thinks it sounds like King Dench might have found a way to return for the dead! The real problem is that King Dench who was by far the most evil of all of the kings was murdered 750 years ago.

After listening to the strangers tale, Eldridge calls for a mandatory meeting of the High Counsel. For memories sake, Eldridge recounts the History of Silvercrest. Giving a detailed account, Eldridge asks for volunteers to go investigate this matter before he can form a viable plan of action on how to deal with the situation.

Six willing volunteers become the chosen ones. What they run into on their adventure will shock you beyond belief! They will be tested beyond their limits. Around every turn, eminent death looms. They will face many battles, both physically and mentally. Their survival depends on how they function as a team. From this a forgotten Hero will emerge!

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Chronicles of Silvercrest?

Bob Cravener: My inspiration comes from the streets that I used to roam. By that I mean, I took my skills as a Dungeon Master and my life’s trials and tribulations, put them both together and formed a story in the fantasy realm. I had a story to tell, but who would listen unless I made it more interesting. So, in short, my inspiration comes from life itself!

JP: What sets Chronicles of Silvercrest apart from other books in the same genre?

BC: What sets my story apart from all others is that it contains real situations from life in the form of a fantasy tale. While you sit and read my book, you have the ability to learn life’s lessons from it. My book is part educational and part fantasy.

The charictures become real in your mind. The action seems real, and you start to live through these charictures. The action at times gets so intense and graphic at times that you can’t help but to connect with the charictures. My book gets you so involved that you will actually become one of the charictures yourself and become part of the story. That is what makes my book so unique!

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to Chronicles of Silvercrest getting out to the public?

BC: First and foremost my fans are the keys to my success! When they read my book, they then tell others about what they have read! My fans, as with any other author, are the most important people in the world. I can spend endless dollars on marketing and advertizing. But without my fans, I DO NOT SUCCEED!

Also fan interaction: when I meet a fan while out in public I do not treat them as a stranger, I treat them as family! Because they are my family. Also, I have listed my contact information in my book, so that my fans can contact me for comments, suggestions, or just to say Hi.

I keep myself available to my fans always. In the long run, they are the ones that make or break an author. More authors should keep this in mind! I LOVE ALL OF MY FANS!

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Chronicles of Silvercrest?

BC: It took me two years to come up with the first installment of Chronicles of Silvercrest. I had to get my ideas on paper then rewrite it about seventeen times until I became satisfied with what I had.

Then I had to send it to my editor for final copy. I would like to add that the process actually took 43 years, because as I said I used my life story to come up with the idea of the book. Without my life story as the root of the book, the book does not happen for me.

JP: What’s next for Bob Cravener?

BC: Next for me would be Chronicles of Silvercrest- Quest for the Heart of the Mountain. This is part two of the trilogy. Although, if my fans would like me to carry the story beyond three books I will consider doing so. I will make that decision when the time comes. I do have other ideas for other books in mind, but we will see what my fans would like me to do.

I would like to thank my God for the talent that He has bestowed upon me to accomplish my book. I would like to thank all of my fans for their loyalty and support. Without them, I could not have done this work.

Also, I would like to recognize those family and friends who have sacrificed so much and put up with me as I followed my dream of being a writer. To my fans, get a dream and follow it no matter what the cost. Dreams really do come true! I Love You All with All of My Heart!
