5 Minutes, 5 Questions With…
Faze, author of Both sides of the Fence
(Another Faze Publishing)

Corey is a young man who was born and raised in New York City by both parents with his father being a pastor. While enjoying his twenties, he’s introduced to The Village and alternative lifestyles.

He struggles with intimacy between him and his girlfriend. Being a victim of molestation as a child plays a part in his sexual preferences. This sends him on a erotic sexual conquest journey in his prime years of his life.

He faces a dilemma that has him stressed and feeling only God can help him. He becomes tired of living his life in pain and deceit. His story will make parents, especially women, pay closer attention to their lover and one’s children.

As Corey reveals the secrets of men who are closeted and some signs to look for… As he tries to straighten out his own secret life that he lives… He struggles wondering if he had never been molested, would he be living his life on Both Sides of the Fence?

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Both sides of the Fence?

Faze: My inspiration came from being molested and research on the different people that I spoke to that have been molested and the effects that it has caused in their lives.

JP: What sets Both sides of the Fence apart from other books in the same genre?

Faze: My book is inspired by true stories and includes a reference guide in the back as a bonus and two poems for the readers. This novel will also open the eyes of people who thought they knew about my topic.

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to Both sides of the Fence getting out to the public?

Faze: I would have to say that my key was to stay focused and being persistent with my goal and work. I also believe that putting God first is my first policy and strength.

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Both sides of the Fence?

Faze: This is my first book, but it has been republished with a new version. I started years ago with my research and I basicly write everything in my head. That would be my starting point.

In other words, I don’t make a physical outline. I would say I spent about three years on my novel to complete.

JP: What’s next for Faze?

Faze: Part II, that’s being released this year, the sequel No, Not My Man and my own publishing Co. This way, I can help others so that they don’t have to go the road that a lot of new authors go as far as getting robbed and mislead.

This book was written with the intentions of educating parents and ladies about a topic that most people don’t care to discuss child molestation and how it relates to homosexuality later on in some children’s lives.

We see the results in everday life with men and women living in the closet or on the DL. Most parents ignore this problem because some parents blame themselves for the occurance. Others call it a phase or something that a person is simply choosing to do.

Most of the time, the result is children beign left with no line of communication with their parents or guardians. In the long run, these types of occurences causes a change in one’s sexual orientation.

Yes Both Sides of the Fence is a novel, but it’s based on true stories. I hope you enjoy the book. Thank you, and tell a friend.

  6. WOW…. considering this is happening now and so many parents are turnin a blind eye to it or even thinkin that the child is makin it up -is serious business.

I’m happy to see the author express this in a book as well as speak with others…. this seems like a book that needs to be on every parent’s shelf … not only parents but friends, sitters, congregations, everyone’s shelf

  7. This is a great interview. I hope the misconceptions of what society believes is true or untrue about children molested and their sex orientation is finally brought to light.
