Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write “Claiming Jeremiah”?

Missy B. Salick: “Claiming Jeremiah” is a fictional memoir, based loosely off of my personal experience to foster-adopt my son. Nicole Bradshaw: One day, I was watching the movie Titanic. I thought, “What if a black family were on that ship?” I did some research and found out about the Laroche family.
