Frank Barnes is content living on the streets of Atlanta. A soup kitchen and a makeshift shanty sure beat his days as a POW in Vietnam. But Chloe Roberts can’t handle the eviction that sends her into the hell of homelessness. With no family or friends to turn to, Chloe and her children are sucked into the traumatic world of night shelters, and dangerous predators.

When they bump into each other at the soup kitchen, Frank offers Chloe a glimmer of hope that she can pull her life back together. She rekindles his lost sense of self-worth by taking his mind off his own problems. But they will not meet again until Frank is riding high as a working man, and Chloe has hit rock bottom.

By helping Chloe rebuild her broken life, Frank banishes the demons from his own past. Unfortunately, the past comes strolling back into their lives, threatening to destroy the happiness they have finally found.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write “Losing It All”?

Marsha Cornelius: When I moved out into the countryside, I came across an abandoned cinderblock house in the woods. The windows were all broken, and the house itself was half-hidden in brambles. But the roof didn’t leak, and the floors were sound. Continue reading 5 Minutes, 5 Questions With… Marsha Cornelius, author of Losing It All

“Pounding The Pavement” is a story of redemption. The story follows a young woman, Kandi, on her quest to overcome the hurt that has plagued her heart after being forced into prostitution at a very young and tender age. Nisha Lanae: My inspiration for “Pounding The Pavement” came from everyday life and what I saw growing up in California. I was also inspired by a few close friends who have experienced life on the streets as a prostitute.  Continue reading 5 Minutes, 5 Questions With… Nisha Lanae, author of Pounding The Pavement

Seth Rogan was a shitty spy. Actually, he wasn’t a spy at all. Just a guy trying to do the right thing.

As a biologist for the largest biotech company in the world, he had a great job, and thoroughly enjoyed all the perks. But when asked to do some tests on the company’s genetically engineered foods, he became entangled in a trail of corruption and fraud that he wanted no part of, but could not escape from.

In a story so true to life it could almost be from today’s newspapers, Seth, having bit the hand who fed him, is on the run from them, and the full overreaching strength of the United States government as a fugitive, who finds temporary refuge with an old enemy of the U.S. But his peace is about to be broken as he finds himself in the role of an involuntary spy.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write “An Involuntary Spy: A GMO Thriller”?

Kenneth Eade: While writing the best selling non-fiction book, “Bless the Bees”, I did a lot of research on the hidden dangers of genetically engineered foods. I was disgusted by the way the government agencies like the FDA and EPA were controlled by ex-executives from Monsanto and the fact that Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) foods undergo no safety testing by the government.
