Have you ever had experiences or situations you wished would have worked out differently? Have you ever felt like you could not wait to advance, move, and be promoted to the next level in your life? Have you ever been in a relationship and said, I think I deserve better? Have you ever prayed for your faith in God to increase?

Well all these and more life experiences happen to us all. We all have questions in the moment, storm, relationship, etc. Learning to cope and not react is a part of growth. “Until Tomorrow Comes” is a poetry book is a journey growth and awareness.

Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write “Until Tomorrow Comes”?

LaDonna Marie: In writing “Until Tomorrow Comes”, I found my inspiration spirituality from God, through wanting to share his love in moving in positive directions in life. Poetry has always been for me my voice when I couldn’t speak.

As I wrote each poem, I wrote with the intention of people being able to relate. Many times in life, we are in a stand still with most life experiences. We are unable to move, thus we are always in reactive mode.

In writing “Until Tomorrow Comes”, I wanted to look at where an individual is and show the journey of growth. I wanted to furthermore encourage others. They aren’t alone and can move forward with a new sense of reflection of self awareness through positive growth.

JP: What sets “Until Tomorrow Comes” apart from other books in the same genre?

LMB: There are teachable moments in “Until Tomorrow Comes” that allow my words to reach the many situations that people don’t talk about or, most times, even speak about. The poetry will cause you to look at the these issues and begin to challenge how you feel.

I write with compassion. I often aim to give a voice to all the silent moments, heart breaking emotions and life changes decisions. I hope to empower and motivate others toward growth.

JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to “Until Tomorrow Comes” getting out to the public?

LMB: I love to make sure I am authentic, compassionate, and encouraging others toward growth. As an author and writer, I use the word integrity. I like to carry myself in a light where you can see and feel my enormous amount of care for people advancing.

JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish “Until Tomorrow Comes”?

LMB: I normally write everyday as the inspiration comes. I can be anywhere and a poem comes to me. I instantly have to hurry and write it down. In writing “Until Tomorrow Comes”, it took me about 6 months totally. I started in January 2012 and finished in June 2012 . I wrote about 75 poems. Afterwards, I went through my selection process, deciding the flow of the book, title, and purpose.

JP: What’s next for LaDonna Marie?

LMB: Writing more books. I’m working on new ideas for poetry, a novel and children books in the coming next year. I am also doing motivational speaking to empower and encourage the youth. I am also guest blogging to inspire and to share some insight. My creative side are flowing so possibly some singing as well.
